| Hatha Yoga | Traditional yoga classes are for all kinds of students and include many different kinds of yoga postures that help to build strength, flexibility and good posture. Children ages 6-12 are welcome to attend regular beginning level Hatha classes with a parent or legal guardian. Teenagers 13-17 may attend class by themselves but must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. |
| Ashtanga | a series of 48 postures beginning with sun salutations and progresses through standing poses, seated poses, arm balances and inversions. Please go to our Mysore Classes Page for more information about Ashtanga Yoga. |
| Pilates | improves endurance, agility, and posture, and reduces joint, lower back pain and tension by focusing on core conditioning. |
| Gentle Yoga | For students who are older, have less mobility, are healing from injury, illness or trauma. The focus of the class is to restore calmness and clarity to the mind, stretch the body and increase flexibility, and soothe the fabric of the soul. Class includes breathing exercises, restorative poses, standing poses, seated poses, twists and meditation. Options are given for those with medical restrictions, and chairs and props are encouraged as needed, including options for students who have trouble getting down to the floor. Phone us if you are uncertain about your ability to attend class. We can schedule a short orientation prior to your first class to help you feel at ease. Gentle Yoga fees: 10 classes/$100 for seniors and students on disability. |

Tai-chi/Qi Gong: Ancient chinese art forms used primarily today for health benefits. This class will focus on Beginning Yin-Yang Medical Qigong, The Great Regulator Breath and Beginning Tai-Chi Movements. These involve simple, soft, rhythmic, stretching movements emphasizing abdominal breathing and focused intention. They can be done standing or sitting, for all ages with options for those with medical restrictions. Some of the benefits are - release stress, anxiety, pain, better circulation and balance, improve blood pressure and slow aging process. It can be called a sitting, standing, walking meditation. $54/6 classes or $10 drop-in. Please pay by cash or check to Mary Kessler. |

Zen Meditation: The Louisville Zen Group is an independent group which offers meditation classes, practice sessions, Zen commentaries, and group discussions at the Kentucky Street studio most Sunday evenings. Beginner's class is at 5:30 p.m. Group practice session for experienced students, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. 7:30 pm - discussion/Sangha social time.
