What
are Russian Kettlebells? |
|
Russian Kettlebells are cast iron or steel weights that look like a
cannonball with a handle. They have been used in Russian for
over 300 years to build amazing strength, endurance, and
flexibility. Weight range from 8 kgs (17.6 pounds) to 60 kgs
(132 lbs). Most women use 8, 12 or 16 kg weights and most men use
12, 16, 24 kgs or higher.
Many
examples of Russian Kettlebells exercises can be found on YouTube. |

Buy kettlebells at Dick's, Target, or online from
Dragon Door, Gaiam,
WKC, Play It Again Sports, etc. Do not buy adjustable kettlebells and do not buy anything lighter
than 18 lbs. If you use WKC kettlebells, you should also get wrist
protectors.
